French open hardware specialist Icy Electronics has launched a new development board based around the Nordic Semiconductor nRF54L15 wireless microcontroller, with a bundled nRF52820 CMSIS-DAP programmer and debugger for good measure: the nRF54L15 Discovery.

"The nRF54L15 Discovery board is a development kit designed around the [Nordic Semiconductor] nRF54L15 and nRF52820 multiprotocol Bluetooth low-power SoCs [Systems-on-Chip]," says Icy Electronics' mononymous founder Cyao. "In the normal configuration, the nRF52820 is used as an interface CMSIS-DAP MCU [Microcontroller Unit], enabling onboard debugging and programming, eliminating the need for external debuggers. The interface MCU interfaces with the host via USB and exposes an SWD [Serial-Wire Debug] and UART [serial] bridge for development usage."

The Icy Electronics nRF54L15 Discovery is two boards in one, with a CMSIS-DAP programmer/debugger joined to a main microcontroller dev board. (đź“·: Icy Electronics)
