IAN Angel Fund Steps Up Early Backing For Deeptech Startups
IAN Angel Fund says it deployed over ₹115 crore in FY26. The fund invested across eight sectors, including deeptech, life sciences and healthtech, climate and sustainability, cybersecurity, logistics, edtech, food & beverage and consumer tech. About 75% of the capital went into new portfolio companies, with the remaining 25% used for follow‑on rounds.

"The ₹115 crore deployment reflects continued investor confidence in the high‑quality, rigorously evaluated investment opportunities presented through the IAN Angel Fund platform."
That emphasis on “rigorously evaluated” deals signals that IAN is trying to de-risk technical bets with stronger screening and active mentoring, rather than simply increasing deal volume.
Portfolio Mix and Strategic Focus
The list of funded startups spans space tech (Trishul Space, InterCosmos, Contrails AI), biotech and health (Lamark Biotech, Biodimension), climate and mobility (Endure Air, Chargeup), cybersecurity (SecurWeave)...
