I watched the first seven episodes of 'Lanterns' on HBO Max — and the new sci-fi crime show starring Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler is a blindingly brilliant example of how good the DCU can be
Lanterns is a much-needed ray of hope that lights the way forward for DC Studios after the DCU's darkest day — that being, Supergirl flopping at the box office. It falls just short of being a masterpiece but, as Green Lantern adaptations go, you couldn't ask for more from a live-action project as blindingly brilliant as this one.
