The Camp Snap CS-Pro doesn't change much about the original screen-free digital point-and-shoot Camp Snap — if you didn't like that camera, you won't like this one. But with double the resolution, an improved processor to banish that annoying shutter lag, and a very (arguably overly) powerful Xenon flash, this is a better-made camera that's more satisfying to use, and I found the bright and punchy images it produced to be quite charming. Then there's the price — by sensibly keeping the cost to two figures, Camp Snap has kept the CS-Pro within the realm of being a fun impulse purchase for those who don't take their photography too seriously.

Pros

  • +Super-easy point-and-shoot operation
  • +Filter dial adds a few creative options
  • +Very lightweight, with stylish looks
  • +Affordable price tag

Cons

  • -Flash unit overexposes images
  • -Can't handle high-contrast lighting
  • -All-plastic body doesn't feel robust
