The Kodak PixPro WPZ2 won't win any image quality awards, and its 1080p video ceiling feels well behind the times. But as a cheap waterproof camera that you can take snorkeling, rock pooling or kayaking without losing sleep over, it earns its keep. Keep the available light on your side and you'll be pleasantly surprised by what it can do.

Pros

  • +Waterproof to 15m
  • +Compact enough to fit in a pocket
  • +Macro performance impresses for the price
  • +Decent battery life

Cons

  • -Images lack saturation, contrast and dynamic range
  • -Small, dim rear screen makes exposure and composition tricky
  • -Digital zoom is effectively unusable
