Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a considerable improvement over its predecessor, with more events, more single-player depth, and more ways to play. While it would’ve been good to have seen sports such as Football and Chambara at launch, and the visual style still feels a bit lacking, responsive controls and chaotic multiplayer gameplay make this title well worth adding to your library.

Reasons to buy

  • +Full of chaotic multiplayer fun
  • +Incredibly responsive motion and mouse controls
  • +Island Crown adds much needed single-player depth

Reasons to avoid

  • -Some key sports have been cut
  • -Visual style slightly lacking in character
  • -Exploration-based modes could be better
