Just because microplastics can be found everywhere nowadays, from the air we breathe to the water we drink and the food we eat, doesn’t mean there’s nothing we can do to reduce our exposure to them. To prevent microplastics from leaking into my food while I cook, I went through all my kitchen cabinets and drawers in search of common plastic tools that could be microplastic-leaching culprits. Then, I did research to figure out what microplastic-free alternatives I’d replace them with. This is what I discovered in my own kitchen.
