I Evaluated 7 Meal Kit Services Using 2026 Grocery Prices. Here Are the Best (and Worst) Values
Meal kits cost more than groceries, on balance but what you get in return is a whole lot of convenience. Not having to plan recipes, grocery shop and measure and prep ingredients may inspire you to cook more, which typically means healthier eating and spending less on takeout.
There’s a hidden perk, too: since meal kit companies only send you what you need for a given meal, there’s less risk of wasting ingredients you didn’t get around to using. (Who among us hasn’t watched an avocado or bag of greens wither away?) And with grocery prices still sky-high, throwing away food hits you where it hurts.
