I don't like giving five stars, but HEDD's HEDDphone D1 wired headphones are unequivocally the best over-ears I’ve ever tested
As Berlin-based audio brand HEDD’s fourth set of over-ear headphones, the HEDDphone D1 continue an impressive run of cleverly-designed pro-grade audio fare — this time, though, with its gaze levelled squarely at the mid-range market.These over-ear, open-back headphones achieve remarkable sonic quality for their price, thanks in large part to some exceedingly innovative custom Thin-Ply Carbon Diaphragm (TPCD) drivers.They’re fast, clear, broad and deep, and full-throatedly invigorating to listen through (even for long periods of time). Honestly? It was love at first listen.
