HW Media Lab's Open-Hardware DockFrame Gives Spare Framework Expansion Cards a Home — And More

Wyoming-based HW Media Lab is preparing to launch a crowdfunding campaign for a hub designed to make use of spare Framework Expansion Cards, while also serving as a development tool with breadboard, power supply, and multimeter: the DockFrame.

"DockFrame is a modular USB Type-C hub built around the Framework Expansion Card slot standard," HW Media Lab's Eleo Basili explains. "It gives the cards you already own a home on your desk, and adds what no other dock can: Tool Cards that turn the slots into bench instruments, all within reach of one cable. It works with any Framework laptop or desktop, or any USB Type-C host."
