How Workato’s new ‘super agent’ may end up rewriting its origin story
When I was a child, we used to play a game called Pass the Parcel at parties.
In this game, a parcel wrapped many times would be handed around a circle while music played — and then, whenever it stopped, one child would unwrap a layer.
In the traditional game there would be nothing in the outer layers — but in my (evidently woke) childhood there would be a small gift in each layer so that everybody won. Either way, the game relentlessly ground on until someone unwrapped the real prize at the center.
And Workato’s gradual reveal of its AI strategy over the last year has felt a little like that childhood game to me — with the metaphorical music stopping every few months so it could unwrap another layer.
