The toughest ever Tour de France Femmes is also the toughest to call. Reigning champion Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and 2023 winner Demi Vollering are shaping up as the favourites, but 2024 winner Kasia Niewiadoma, persistent contender Anna van der Breggen and rising star Paula Blasi are each capable of mounting a serious challenge.

The fifth edition features three flat stages, three hilly stages, two mountain stages and one ITT, and incorporates 1,175km and 18,795m of elevation gain – both records. The route will traverse three mountain passes: the Jura, Massif Central and Alps.
