How to spot an AI voice scam before it’s too late?

Visualize a scenario where you receive a call from someone in your family asking for financial help. Their voice appears to be theirs, and they are in panic. You do not get enough time to consider; therefore, you do the transfer. Ultimately, you discover that that person never made that call. This is the new normal era of scams like AI-based voice scams.
Voice-cloning technology enables scammers to easily replicate someone’s voice using available audios. In India, online security authorities are raising the alarm about the increase in reliance on AI techniques in scams where fraudsters impersonate family members, public servants, or other trusted people. Probably the biggest challenge is that one might not distinguish the AI voice just by hearing it.
