Do aerospace engineers trust AI enough to adopt it? AI has the potential to improve productivity, address engineering skills shortages, accelerate product development and strengthen maintenance operations in the aerospace sector, however aerospace remains a safety-critical industry and therein lies the challenge.

In response the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) and Capgemini have joined forces to provide a report featuring credible applications of AI across design, manufacturing and through-life support in the aerospace sector. These use cases complement Capgemini’s own research findings that I recently discussed with Mike Dwyer, Capgemini’s UK Head of Intelligent Industry.
