How Den Fælles Sterilcentral is using digital twins to streamline process collaboration and improvement
Digital twins and digital threads provide a mental model for improving collaboration between people. All of this is pretty abstract and hard to wrap your head around, since digital twins are easier to make sense of for engineering collaboration and less intuitive for process improvement.
Fortunately, vendors are starting to bring these pieces together for re0thinking more grounded approaches to process improvement. I recently spoke with with Den Fælles Sterilcentral CEO Thomas Bøgeskov, whose company manages medical sterilization processes at a dedicated facility in Denmark. At one level of abstraction, it's kind of like a specialized dishwasher for a very expensive collection of medical instruments.
