Hands on: I tested the world’s smallest full-frame camera — the Sigma FP2 is a solid upgrade, but Lumix has some compelling L-mount alternatives

Early Verdict

Sigma's mission to make and improve the world's smallest full-frame mirrorless camera is commendable. The FP2 is a wonder of design and a decent upgrade from the original FP, with better battery life, a tilt screen and built in memory. It can also shoot delicious 6K video and 24.5MP stills, handles extremely well, and pairs with incredible L-mount lenses. Naturally, there are compromises given the camera's tiny size — it misses image stabilization and lacks a grip, plus it benefits from being modified with accessories such as Sigma's tilt EVF. All being said, I've truly loved shooting with the Sigma's FP2 — no other brand makes cameras as refreshingly unique.
