Google Reverses Course, Launches the New Fitbit Edge Wearable with Full-Color AMOLED Display
Google has announced a new device in its fitness- and health-centric Fitbit wearables line, opening orders for a lozenge-shaped smartwatch tracker with integrated display: the Fitbit Edge.
"Many people are looking for a wearable that sits between an advanced smartwatch like Pixel Watch and the quiet simplicity of a band like Fitbit Air. That's Fitbit Edge," Google's Ryan Krems and Noah Presler, product leads for the company's wearables software and hardware platforms respectively, claim of the new gadget. "It's small and comfortable but also a powerful daily companion that's designed to help you reach your wellness goals. It combines Fitbit's trusted health expertise with Google’s refined design and everyday helpfulness. Encased in durable recycled aluminum, it features a slim, comfortable profile that naturally contours to your wrist. Despite the lightweight design, it delivers weekend-to-weekend battery life."
