Google Launches its First In-House Tracking Tag — WIth Bluetooth 6.0 Channel Sounding

Google has announced its first in-house tracking tag, the Pixel Tag, which combines crowdsourced wide-area location finding with short-range precision pinpointing via Ultra-Wideband and Bluetooth Channel Sounding — and a next-generation Pixel Watch wearable, too.

"Google Pixel Tag [is] our first-ever finder tag," the company says of its compact tracking device. "Helpful and secure, it uses Google's Find Hub network to quickly and easily locate your favorite items. It’s great for your keys, wallet, or even luggage. Pixel Tag is made of durable stainless steel that's designed to resist flexing and cracking, and is IP67 water- and dust-resistant."
