Google Launches Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash with 4K AI Video & Scene Extension

Google has introduced Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash, an upgraded version of its AI model designed to give developers and creators greater control over video generation and editing.

The latest model brings several new capabilities, including longer scene extensions, first-and-last-frame controls, video references and support for high-resolution 4K output. The update is aimed at making AI-powered video creation more flexible for professional and creative workflows.

One of the key additions is the ability to extend video scenes for up to 40 seconds in total. Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash can analyse up to 10 seconds of previous video footage to maintain better visual consistency and narrative flow while generating the next part of a scene. Video extensions can be created in 10-second increments, allowing users to build longer sequences from existing clips.
