Google Gemini 4 Argon Unveiled With 1 Million Token Output Window
Google has officially unveiled Gemini 4 Argon, its next-generation frontier AI model designed for complex long-horizon engineering, enterprise workflows, and cyber defense. Built to challenge OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra and Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5.5, Gemini 4 Argon introduces a groundbreaking 1 million token output window—a massive leap from previous limits that enables sustained, single-pass reasoning across hundred-thousand-token trajectories.
Across early evaluations, Gemini 4 Argon matched GPT-6 Astra on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index while outperforming competitors across a majority of technical benchmarks, including state-of-the-art results on DeepSWE v1.1 for real-world software engineering. Independent testing also highlighted significantly lower hallucination rates compared to competing systems.
Alongside performance gains, Google introduced aggressive promotional pricing set at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens—roughly one-fifth the cost of GPT-6 Astra’s standard rates.
The model is currently rolling out to trusted security partners through the Fairwind Program and internal...
