Google Brings Four Indian Startups Into Its Climate AI Push
Google’s first AI for the Planet accelerator brings four Indian startups into a 16-member APAC cohort, highlighting how AI is moving deeper into climate data, land intelligence, and carbon measurement.
Climate technology has a data problem. Whether the task is understanding how land is being used, measuring changes in forests, verifying regenerative farming, or tracking carbon removal, the challenge is often not simply building a climate solution. It is proving what is happening on the ground.
That is where artificial intelligence is beginning to take a more practical role. Google has selected four Indian startups, Terrastack, Varaha Climate, Farmers for Forests (F4F), and Climitra Carbon, for the inaugural Google DeepMind Accelerator: AI for the Planet (APAC). They are part of a 16-member cohort working across sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, climate resilience, and carbon solutions.
