I love both CNC milling and manual machining. With the right material and carefully planned toolpaths, freshly machined parts can look really nice — there a plenty of YouTubers who make a living entirely based on that fact. But a lot of parts can benefit from surface treatments that create uniform finishes. Sandblasting is a great way to do that, but traditional sandblasting setups consume a lot of space. So, you may want to consider the GritPlex desktop sandblaster.

The term “sandblasting” is a bit of a misnomer, because you probably won’t be using sand at all. You’ll use pressurized air with abrasive media, like glass beads or fused white alumina, to very evenly blast the surface of a part.
