Genesys Wins ₹283 Crore Ahmedabad Digital Twin Contract

Genesys International Corporation has won a ₹283 crore World Bank-funded contract to develop a 3D digital twin and GIS platform for Ahmedabad, covering about 625 sq km and around 25 lakh properties. The project will bring land parcels, properties, roads, utilities and other civic infrastructure into a unified spatial database for urban planning and service delivery.

The initiative is part of the Gujarat Resilient Cities Partnership program and is positioned as one of India’s largest city-scale digital twin projects. Genesys said the platform will provide a digital foundation for infrastructure management, property administration and civic planning.

Mapping The City

The project will digitally map Ahmedabad’s land parcels, properties, roads, water networks, sewerage systems, stormwater drainage infrastructure and other civic assets.

Around 25 lakh properties will be surveyed, geocoded and assigned unique digital identities. This will create a property-level spatial database that municipal departments can use alongside other city infrastructure data.
