Genesys CIO Trevor Schulze on why AI governance is just governance - and identity is what really matters
Data curiosity takes a lot of discipline. Looking at a dashboard and asking where the numbers come from, and what chain of humans and machines produced them is a skill all of its own. Trevor Schulze, CIO of Genesys, wrote a piece for CIO.com in June arguing that data curiosity is a leadership skill that separates the organizations getting value from AI from the ones still wrangling with pilot data projects. He observed that AI brings existing problems into sharper focus rather than introducing new ones. PwC's most recent CEO Survey backs this up - of 4,454 CEOs surveyed globally, 56% report neither revenue increases nor costs reductions from AI over the ;ast 12 months.
