Genesys Adds Context, Orchestration and Governance to Agentic CX

Genesys has introduced a new set of Genesys Cloud capabilities aimed at helping enterprises coordinate increasingly autonomous customer experiences across AI agents, human employees, workflows and business systems.

The company unveiled Genesys Cloud Navigator, Genesys Cloud Orchestrator, Contextual Intelligence and the AI Control Plane at its Xperience 2026 event in Las Vegas.

Rather than operating as standalone AI features, the four capabilities are designed to work as layers of an agentic customer experience architecture — beginning with understanding customer intent, carrying context across interactions, coordinating actions and applying governance as AI takes on more autonomous tasks.

The move reflects a broader shift in enterprise customer service. As AI systems evolve from answering questions to making decisions and taking actions, the technology challenge is increasingly moving from automation toward orchestration.
