GeForce RTX 5070 vs. Radeon RX 9070 XT: 2026 Update
We recently compared the Radeon RX 9070 XT and GeForce RTX 5070 Ti head-to-head across 52 games and found that, overall, they delivered very similar performance. That was the reason for comparing them in the first place: based on performance, they are direct competitors, or at least they are meant to be.
However, as things stand today, there is a massive price divide between the two, with the RTX Ti GPU now commanding a premium of more than 50%. Given that, the standard RTX 5070 has become the more relevant comparison for the 9070 XT, even though the Radeon GPU is currently the cheaper of the two.
At the time of testing, the 9070 XT can be had for around $730 to $750. Meanwhile, RTX 5070 models start at $800, with most priced around $820. That means the 12GB GeForce GPU carries roughly a 9% price premium...
