Galaxy Z Flip 8 vs. Motorola Razr Ultra 2026: Flip-Phone Foldable Showdown

Samsung unveiled a new line of foldables at a Galaxy Unpacked event in London this week, and one of them is the clamshell-style Galaxy Z Flip 8. With looks and specs very similar to its predecessor, the Z Flip 8 is, however, a little more expensive: It starts at $1,200 for the 256GB model, which is $100 more than the price of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 when that debuted. However, the Z Flip 7 did get a $80 price hike this year due to the current memory shortage crisis, so the price differential is actually more like $20 when compared that way.

The other major Android flip-phone manufacturer is Motorola, which also released a whole new line of Razr clamshells this year. Its most premium handheld is the Razr Ultra 2026, which starts at a whopping $1,500, though you do get 512GB base storage for that price....
