Samsung’s $1,200 Galaxy Z Flip 8 is easily the best-looking flip phone I’ve tested. While Samsung doesn’t appear to be releasing a sequel to last year’s Galaxy S25 Edge — a phone designed to be thin and light — the Z Flip 8 feels like it’s carrying on that thin design torch.
When unfolded, its 6.9-inch internal display feels extremely manageable: It weighs only 180 grams, compared to the non-folding Galaxy S26 Plus‘ 190 grams and smaller 6.7-inch display.
