From creation to scale: Why storage is becoming critical for India’s regional creators

India’s creator economy is expanding rapidly beyond metro cities, with Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities1. Driven by hyper-local brand partnerships and a booming demand for regional dialects, a recent report estimates that India is now home to 2 to 2.5 million active digital creators who directly influence over 30% of consumer purchase decisions. As these regional creators move from casual clips to high-definition (HD), 4K, and AI-assisted multi-platform production, their creativity can run into a barrier: data storage.
Scaling storage can be significant. One hour of standard 4K video alone can consume nearly 45 GB of storage. As creators shift to a professional production workflows, storage requirements can quickly scale to several hundred gigabytes per hour of footage2, turning what was once manageable into a constant operational strain on devices and productivity.
