Forrester: 96% of Indian Enterprises Adopt Hybrid Cloud
Forrester has published a new report, The State Of Cloud In India, 2026, which reveals that India’s cloud market has entered a new phase: enterprises are no longer focused primarily on cloud adoption, but on how to operate complex hybrid environments at scale as AI costs rise, data regulations tighten, and cloud resilience becomes a board-level priority.
According to Forrester, 96% of Indian enterprises now have a hybrid cloud strategy, signaling a significant shift from cloud migration to cloud optimization. As organizations scale AI initiatives and expand digital operations, cloud decisions are increasingly being shaped by considerations around cost management, resilience, governance, and data sovereignty. The findings suggest that hybrid cloud has emerged as the preferred operating model, enabling enterprises to place workloads across public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises environments based on business, regulatory, and operational requirements.
