Former Swiggy, Zomato Executives Launch AI Career Platform Profound

Profound has entered the market with a different proposition. Founded by former Swiggy and Zomato leaders Anuj Rathi and Prashant Parashar, the company has raised $1.5 million in seed funding while unveiling an AI-native platform designed around what it calls an "AI Rep" for every professional.

The funding round saw participation from technology founders including Sriharsha Majety, CEO, Swiggy; Nandan Reddy, Co-Founder, Swiggy; Pankaj Chaddah, ex-Zomato; Harshil Mathur, CEO, Razorpay; Kunal Shah, Global Head, WhatsApp; and Bhuvan Gupta, Co-Founder, OfBusiness. Institutional investors Stellaris Venture Partners and 3one4 Capital also participated.

The company said the capital will be used to expand its engineering and product teams, strengthen AI capabilities, and build its matching and introductions engine as it prepares for wider adoption.
