Foresight and Doctrinal Future time

The point of this article is not to judge, but to highlight the fact that many of us have grown up in traditions that may influence our perspective of the future in many different and interesting ways. It is important to recognize that we are not all starting with a clean slate when we study the future.

Let’s begin by exploring how doctrines, traditions, philosophies and religious beliefs might give us unique worldviews about the future and our destiny. I use the term Doctrinal Future Time: to describe the future as it has been taught, promised, warned about, or morally structured by various traditions and philosophies.
