Flipkart Gives Minutes A Standalone App As Quick Commerce Scales

India’s quick-commerce market is moving beyond the question of how fast an order can reach the customer. For companies in the space, the harder challenge is building enough local fulfillment capacity while keeping customers coming back and making the economics work.

That makes Flipkart’s latest move around Minutes worth watching. The e-commerce company has launched a standalone app for Minutes, its quick-commerce service that was previously housed within the main Flipkart app. The beta app is available to a limited set of users on Google Play, with availability verified in limited pockets of Delhi NCR.

The standalone app comes as Flipkart continues to expand the infrastructure behind Minutes and explores additional categories and services.
