EY Says AI Will Create New Jobs as It Targets To Deploy 1,00,000 AI Agents by 2028

EY's Global Delivery Services (GDS) unit plans to increase its deployment of AI agents to 1,00,000 by 2028 while continuing to expand its workforce, underscoring how large enterprises are increasingly adopting artificial intelligence alongside human talent rather than replacing it.

The company shared the roadmap as it launched the ey.ai Center for Reimagination at its Global Delivery Services (GDS) campus in Bengaluru. The 40,000-square-foot immersive experience center is designed to help organizations explore how AI, automation and emerging technologies could reshape industries, business models and decision-making.

According to one of the Big Four’s GDS unit, around 50,000 AI agents have already been deployed across the organization, with the figure expected to reach 100,000 by 2028. The initiative is part of the firm's previously announced $1.4 billion investment in artificial intelligence.
