Everything to Know About Burglars Using Spy Cams to Watch Homes

Neigbhorhood surveillance is big news these days, especially when it comes to cameras appearing with no warning like Flock systems made to track cars and even people. But there’s another type of camera threatening home security, much sneakier and used by those intending to break the law, not enforce it.

I’ve seen these security cameras turned spy cams continue to appear over the past few years. A large crime ring was recently arrested in Los Angeles after police connected a series of break-ins to using hidden cameras. And in Oregon and Washington, police found thieves scouting out targets with cameras before trying to break into homes while dressed as delivery people or landscapers.
