My AI research breakdown was intended to provoke a response, and it did: Why context isn't enough - AI agents need real-time organizational truth. Most of the pushback was of the best kind: the type that makes us (hopefully) smarter and better.
What was I after? First, I wanted to challenge vendors on the overhype of a limited view of context, but: I also wanted to amplify possibilities to rethink work (and decisions). At its best, context makes AI agents 'smarter,' and more relevant. But vendors are coming up short in two ways:
- They should expand the context beyond the narrowness their slice of enterprise data (even data lakehouse vendors lack some of the real-time context that make AI agents suddenly look not-so-smart). That's why I floated the "real-time organizational truth" ambition.
