Dreamforce 2026 - the Trailblazer’s tale

When Gordon Lee stumbled upon Salesforce at his first job 20 years ago, it was a time when people were still having trouble with the concept of a ‘download’, Salesforce was very cutting-edge technology, and Trailblazer and Trailhead didn’t exist.

When Lee was assigned to the job of Salesforce admin for his company’s backend call center, he felt very much alone. He recalls:

I'm trying to figure all this stuff out by myself. I had to go to these little groups and forums and figure out whenever I had questions or I'd have to call up the really expensive consultants and figure out, what is happening with this one particular field or flow or whatever it is that's happening.

In the course of his research, Lee stumbled across the existence of in-person meetups of people just like him, other solo admins trying to figure things out together. He says:
