Demographics do not matter to AI adoption - one size does not fit all, says Cognizant research

After surveying more than 10,000 workers, Cognizant has identified seven distinct types of AI user with very different needs. The findings have been published in its report New Frontiers, New Frictions: Mapping the DNA of Adoption, where Cognizant states that advanced users are outgrowing workplace tools, while less engaged employees need clearer reasons and more practical support to use them. This means many employees cannot use AI as much as they would like.

In fact, 80% reported a gap between how much they want to use the technology and what their workplace enables them to do.

A major part of the report profiles seven different worker archetypes based on things like risk appetite and conformity to using corporate IT. The report states that:
