Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the constitution of a high-powered task force on examination reforms under the leadership of Infosys co-founder and Chairman Nandan Nilekani.

The announcement places one of India’s best-known technology leaders at the center of an effort to improve the credibility, transparency and technological resilience of the country’s public examination system.

The task force is expected to recommend technology-led and structural reforms, particularly concerning examinations conducted by the National Testing Agency. The government has said it will consider the panel’s recommendations while developing a more reliable and transparent examination framework.
