CoreWeave plans its first India data centres with 240MW from AdaniConneX
CoreWeave will open its first data centres in India, using 240 megawatts of capacity at an AdaniConneX campus in Navi Mumbai. The US AI cloud provider announced the deal on Wednesday. CoreWeave expects the first phase to come online in mid-2028.
AdaniConneX is a 50:50 joint venture between Adani Enterprises and data centre operator EdgeConneX. CoreWeave will be the only tenant across three 80-megawatt buildings at the Taloja campus. It has an option to add up to another 240 megawatts there.
The investment will total multiple billions of dollars over the life of the project, Bloomberg reported. CoreWeave did not give a figure in its statement.
“India has the talent, developers, and ambition to become a major center of AI innovation,” said Sachin Jain, CoreWeave’s chief operating officer.
