CopperPilot AI Claims 30-Minute Design Of Raspberry Pi Camera Board, Raises $390K
AI agents are beginning to move beyond software development into electronics hardware design. Bengaluru-based startup CopperPilot said it designed an eight-layer printed circuit board (PCB) for a Raspberry Pi AI camera in about 30 minutes.
A Raspberry Pi is a compact, low-cost computer used in applications ranging from robotics to embedded systems. An AI camera combines imaging hardware with computing capabilities to process visual data for tasks such as object recognition.
CopperPilot has raised $390,000 in pre-seed funding led by Neon Fund, with participation from US-based angel investors, to develop its AI design agent. The company aims to reduce the time engineers spend designing circuit boards, a process that involves component selection, schematic creation, board layout and validation before a prototype is sent for fabrication.
