Cognizant put $4.5tn on AI job exposure, then hired 1,500 graduates
Cognizant announced on Monday that it will hire 1,500 American college graduates this year and build a new job family for the AI era. The company’s own research says AI could take on $4.5tn worth of work Americans currently get paid to do.

What the research says
Cognizant published its updated AI research in January. The report assessed 18,000 tasks across roughly 1,000 occupations in the US Labor Department’s O*NET database. It then scored each job for how much of it AI could now assist with or automate.
