Coforge launches AI adoption framework to address barriers to agentic development
Coforge has announced an AI adoption framework aimed at helping enterprises address organisational and operational challenges associated with scaling agentic software development.
The company said the framework is intended to help organisations assess workforce readiness, redesign development operating models and expand the use of AI-powered coding assistants and autonomous development tools beyond initial pilots.
Coforge said early productivity gains from AI coding tools do not necessarily translate into broader transformation, with organisations facing challenges including resistance to new workflows, ineffective governance and difficulties in measuring adoption.
The framework combines three change-management approaches: Kotter’s Change Model for executive alignment and organisational momentum, Prosci’s ADKAR framework for individual adoption, and Operational Change Management (OpCM) for changes to software development processes.
According to Coforge, the approach addresses areas including code review, testing, requirements management, quality controls and team responsibilities in development environments where AI agents are increasingly involved.
