Coforge Appoints Akhil Gupta as Chairperson for Five-Year Term

Coforge has appointed Akhil Gupta as Chairperson of the company and Non-Executive Independent Director, effective September 29, 2026. His appointment will be for a period of five years.

Gupta is the former Vice Chairman of Bharti Enterprises and has more than 40 years of professional experience. He was closely involved in Bharti's growth and its evolution across multiple business shifts.

His appointment comes as Coforge positions AI more deeply within its engineering services business and looks to help enterprises move beyond AI experimentation towards deployment and business outcomes.

From Bharti To Coforge

Gupta currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of 360 ONE WAM Ltd and Bharti Life Insurance Ltd. He is also a board member at Zepto, Snapdeal, Eutelsat Communications and Lodha Developers.

A Chartered Accountant, Gupta completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2002.
