Claude is down as Anthropic investigates errors across its services
Anthropic is experiencing high error rates with Claude.ai, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and the Claude API, and users have reported failed requests as well as difficulties loading their conversations.
Claude is currently unavailable to some users as Anthropic investigates high error rates across several of its services.
The company published on its status page that the problem is affecting Claude.ai, including its desktop and mobile apps, as well as Claude Code and Claude Cowork. Some requests to the Claude API are also returning errors.
Users might encounter failed requests, errors when loading or sending conversations, or prompts to sign in again. Anthropic states that retrying a request may succeed.
The incident was initially listed as “Investigating” at 14:21 UTC, and seven minutes later, at 14:28 UTC, Anthropic updated the status page to confirm that the Claude API was also affected.
