China's CXMT just entered mass production of memory chips that can rival Samsung's

Asia Matters: CXMT is once again trying to steal the spotlight from the world's largest chipmakers. The Chinese manufacturer is apparently entering mass production of its latest DRAM platform, potentially putting it on par with Samsung and other major players in the memory market.

ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) set the stage at the 2026 World Manufacturing Convention by announcing its latest advancements in chip manufacturing. The Chinese corporation has officially begun mass production of its fifth-generation DRAM technology platform, which is apparently delivering significant gains in both efficiency and competitiveness.

CXMT saidthat the new "G5 Platform" will provide the company with industry-leading memory manufacturing technology.
