I won’t be making it to the annual HR Technology Conference this October in Las Vegas. In past years, I would mostly sequester myself in the press room and take 15-20 interviews with leading HR vendor executives over the course of two to three days.

Those trips always produced a number of great stories and new perspectives on the state of HR software. In preparation for those trips, I would generate a number of interview themes and would pursue the approach that best matched a specific vendor’s competencies or stated direction.

For this year, I’m altering that process a bit while also opening up the process to potentially more vendors. It’s an experiment – let’s see how it works in practice.
