Recently, I spoke to Dan Lorenc, CEO and co-founder of Chainguard, who describes the effect as a "margin call" on ten years of open source technical debt. His company's Athena coalition - which Chainguard describes as "the industry coalition for the orchestrated defense of open source software" - has now cleared more than 40,000 vulnerabilities.
