Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is out in October, and it’s coming to the Switch 2

Activision has officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and says the game will launch on October 23rd, 2026. Modern Warfare 4, which is developed by Infinity Ward, will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X / S, PC — and it will also be the first Call of Duty title to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 following a 10-year deal Microsoft reached with Nintendo as it worked to complete the Activision Blizzard acquisition.

Also notable: Modern Warfare 4 won’t be available on PS4 or Xbox One. Those last-gen platforms have gotten Call of Duty releases since 2013’s Call of Duty: Ghosts, but Activision is finally moving on.
