German industrial giant Siemens has seen a lot in its 180 years in business, but there’s one word that has remained a constant, according to CEO Roland Busch - transformation! He argues:
We’ve really changed our company over and over again, and actually, the biggest change has happened in the last couple of years and in the next years to come. Why? Because this is, by far, the fastest change in our history. Think about [the introduction of] electricity at the time when Siemens was built. When electricity changed the whole world, it took 30 years for it to really penetrate society. Now AI takes seven to eight, so this is the speed with which we are talking about.
